Dollars Attracted to Montana as a Result of Research and Commercialization Project Grants

Grants Awarded - $30 million

Matching Funds - $35 million
Projects must be matched with non-Montana state government funds at an amount equal to at least 25% of total project costs. The program has averaged $1.17 in matching funds for every grant dollar awarded, easily exceeding the statutory requirement.

Follow-On Funding - $171 million
Follow-on funding is defined as dollars secured by projects after funding by the Board.

Total Matching Funds & Follow-On Funding - $206 million
The program has attracted more than $206 million to Montana.
