Kumamoto Plaza
The plaza is the liaison office that promotes the sister state relationship between Montana and Kumamoto. First opened in 1992, Kumamoto Plaza is a permanent exhibit in addition to being a branch office of Kumamoto Prefecture. Though located in Helena, the Plaza serves the entire state of Montana. The sister state relationship fosters an environment of mutual interest and curiosity between Montanans and Kumamotonians. The Plaza is open and free of charge to the public.
Main Activities of Kumamoto Plaza:
- Promoting and supporting grass roots level exchange programs and visits between Kumamoto and Montana
- Provide information about Kumamoto and Japan to people of Montana
- Collect and provide information about the U.S. and Montana to the people of Kumamoto
